“Transitioning” and we need a sign..any sign?!
We’ve come along way since this was just an idea in the early am hours in Ashville, NC. The path taken has been winding and narrow at times, but I definitely see the goal line. What began as exhibit a. has now turned into a number of great suggestions. We’re always looking for more great input!
What started out as above turned into this balsamic wire-frame markup.
Looks really good so far..Do you think the colors seem a bit ‘washed out’?
Right now, it reminds me of sherbet-which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!
I thought the colors would have been deeper-richer like the colors you see from early am to the darkest hour of the night-but I guess nothing can take the place of nature.
What if we divided the screen vertically in half one side is white, the other is black. We could go through the spectrum of light and get those richer colors involved (i.e. violets, etc)?
What if the background image Amma is developing is actually a gradient of color based on the time of day? Early-on, we could just have 2 backgrounds and they would mirror what it’s like outside?
i.e. At 6:00 AM bright lighted (white) Background switching at 6:00 PM to dark –ultraviolet (black)
*I wonder if there’s an easy way to make this transition happen “between backgrounds”? Based on time of day?
This landing page inspired me to take images from the local environment, ‘transitioning backgrounds’ could be effective. If only we were able to make a transition between backgrounds based on ‘time of day’-hmm?
What if we could use local images as backgrounds displayed at different times of day?
I could see this being a beautiful way of changing the ‘view’ and engaging and inspiring us while on-the-go. Also it could provide an experience for those us who want to see something new and interesting every time we open our app on our way to what inspires us?
“Something new downtown every day”
I’d like to get your thoughts before Amma spends more time on background images- please let us know what you think?
